Have you been watching the latest Design Star on HGTV? Do you have a favorite designer? Well, I do and her name is Emily Henderson. Did you know she has a a blog where she not only shares styling tips and design inspiration (and her quirky sense of humor), but she also gives us DS fans a glimpse of the behind the scenes drama - so much fun! After reading this post on her blog about fresh flowers, I was instantly inspired to get out in my tiny garden to bring some of the outdoors in!
I also did a little pillow switch-a-roo (of course).
{some "Guacamole" hostas and hydrangeas}
I recently removed a vintage print from the frame above to see if it could be professionally cleaned. I left the frame empty and it's kind of growing on me that way. However, new art IS on the way!
The chairs pillows are covered in a silk velvet in "lichen" from Kravet. I also want to report that Fred the Fiddleleaf Ficus is alive and well. He's actually grown a bit!

what beautiful flowers Teresa! And you have a fiddleleaf fig....I just posted about those today! So you have to give me the scoop...are they easy to care for? I love the look of those pretty leaves, I'm on a mission to convince my husband we need one :)

I love all the green. Great idea to put a single leaf in a vase. Simple and clean, I love it.
Love your flowers! I am a huge hydrangea fan! Your house is so beautiful!!!

I am a huge plant/flower fan and I'm just loving your fiddleleaf!!
I just love that you name your plants. Glad to hear that Fred is doing well! Perhaps I should start adopting this practice so I'll have better luck with my house plants...
Hi Teresa,
I'm new to your blog, but can you please tell me where you got those green vintage velvet pillows? I am looking for similar ones (in style and size), but need them in a brown or gold color. If you could share, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks.
Anon: the pillows are covered in a silk velvet from Kravet. I did them myself. Sorry I don't have a good source
for them. Trust me I looked high and low for
some premade pillows but had no luck.
Love that frame and I adore the dark green throw pillows!

Limelight hydrangeas are on my favorites list. Your home is beautiful and I love your fig. I'm about to bring ours inside for the winter.

Hi, Theresa,
I came over from Emily's coffee table linky party. I really like your living room. I especially love the picture of the sofa when you can see your coffee table, side tables, windows, etc. You did a wonderful job of mixing old and new. Lovely!
