My husband and I hosted a little brunch on Sunday for my Mother-in-law's birthday. Since having Grayson, I haven't really had the desire to entertain/cook for a large crowd because I've just been too preoccupied with all things baby. However, since he has become more "independent" lately, I'm finding myself back in the kitchen again and lovin' it! Here is what I made. All recipes are courtesy of my go-to-gal for yumminess, Ina Garten. The jam was particularly fantastic and EASY! I don't think I'm going to buy jam again now that I know I can make my own in a little over a half an hour. Seriously, give these recipes a try. They are all winners in my book!
Challah French Toast
Slow-Cooked Scrambled Eggs With Green Herbs
Maple Roasted Bacon
Easy Strawberry Jam
Buttermilk Bicuits

Wow! Sounds wonderful!!
That menu sounds delicious and your table is lovely!
The biscuits are good with the cheddar too :) I love the Barefoot Contessa!
It sounds lovely, now you just made me hungry with all of those yummy recipes.
Mmmmmmm bacon and bellinis!
Love Ina! LOVE her. What a great menu! Your mother-in-law must have enjoyed every last bite. And, your table was set perfectly, by the way. ;-)
That looks beautiful and sounds most delicious!
What a lovely brunch -- and your table looks terrific. I feel like my entertaining has been on the decline since my son was born a year and a half ago. It's so hard to find the time to get everything done. I think your post might motivate me!

looks so beautiful!!! i SO remember that--not really having the urge/ energy to be creative in the kitchen when the little guy was young... good news is, is really does come back!! (although it took a while for me haha)
That is a beautiful table - especially the flowers and shells in the center and it sounds like the menu was delicious!
You are amazing! I don't think I could whip up something like that WITHOUT a child, let alone with an infant. Everything sounds incredible.
I love Ina! your table looks lovely - what did you tie the napkins with, I can't tell?! The seashells are perfect!
