My Next Decorating Challenge

***Before you read further: the furniture in the three pictures below is NOT MINE it's the previous owners. Ok, I feel better now. Carry on.***

This is the living room that we are moving into next week. It has decent bones, great light, high ceilings and pretty much no character beyond that. The trim work is minimal, the fireplace is just blech, but I think I can make it work.

The sellers insisted they take their custom cornices with them. No problem-0.

So, it's not huge, but it's perfect for the two of us.

Here is what I've decided on so far: A Duncan Phyfe style antique sofa (similar to the one pictured below) I found on Craigslist for a steal is being reupholstered as we speak

in this fabric from Robert Allen

Two of these slipper chairs by Hickory Chair. I'm not sure what fabric to use for these? Two of these crystal lamps from Circa Lighting on either side of the sofa These as accent fabrics from Robert Allen

Celery green silk velvet

A fresh green damask

A deep green (I swear it doesn't look like baby puke in person)

So, now I need to find a cocktail table, an 8'x10' carpet, accent tables, and window treatments. Let the fun begin!
