This is the living room that we are moving into next week. It has decent bones, great light, high ceilings and pretty much no character beyond that. The trim work is minimal, the fireplace is just blech, but I think I can make it work.
The sellers insisted they take their custom cornices with them. No problem-0.
So, it's not huge, but it's perfect for the two of us.
Here is what I've decided on so far: A Duncan Phyfe style antique sofa (similar to the one pictured below) I found on Craigslist for a steal is being reupholstered as we speak
