Never Tell a Pregnant Woman That "She's HUGE"

I don't care if she's carrying octuplets. The last thing a pregnant woman wants to hear from people is that she looks massive. Come on, people. Of course I'm aware that I look like Humpty Dumpty right now, but just LIE TO MY FACE and tell me I don't.

The End.

I work with a Ukraian and I heard her on the phone the other day, coaching someone for an interview. I gathered that she was pregnant when she asked her, well do you look fat right now or pregnant? As if the woman would like to answer either of those questions?!!? Who cares, if they like her and hire her they will find out anyway!

Are you serious!?!?! Fat or pregnant!?!?

Those words together would never be uttered to another human being! Ever!

No kidding! When I was 8 months pregnant my husband sent a picture of me to my Mother & Father in law and she said "I can't believe you let anyone take a picture of you that big" - I think pregnant women are so beautiful, I smile every time I see one!

I worked in sales when I was pregnant and so I would go out and see different clients on a weekly or every other week basis. One in particular would always tell me, "wow, you get bigger everytime I see you!" I was like, of course I do because I am pregnant! Just what you want to hear.

I think some people lose their minds when they get near pregnant women. Just ignore it. You're not huge, you're carrying an entire other human being around with you!

In my last three months of pregnancy, I always had people asking whether I was having twins, and commenting on my general bloated swollen state. Why do people think that pregnant women are fair game for comments?

Thank you for the comment on my blog today. When I read it, I thought about the most marvelous post on the inauguration outfits from a color perspective - http://www.sensationalcolor.com/liveinfullcolor/a-conflict-of-colors-in-washington/ . This is a great blog, and she pulls out the color wheel to explain the chemistry of the colors that the new first family wore. I thought you would appreciate it!

Good luck with the end phase of your pregnancy! The best is yet to come.

So true. I kid you not, my husband said one day towards the end of my pregnancy, "I love your thunderthighs."

He wondered why I was insulted.

If people would take a pause before they actually spoke the words they were thinking. We would be much better off.

I loved being pregnant.

This is why my pregnant friends love me, LOL. I always greet them w/ a "You look fabulous!"

And I'm not just saying it--I really think pregnant women are just beautiful.
