Just Can't Get Enough

Hot chocolate, oh how I love you!

What is your favorite way of drinking your hot chocolate...marshmellows, whipped cream? Do you have a brand you prefer? Homemade or store bought?
I'm a Swiss Miss girl all the way simply because that's what my mom made for me when I was a little girl. My second favorite store bought brand would have to be the hot chocolate from Payard - heaven in a mug.

Doesn't it? Makes me want to go find those huge marshmellows...I think William Sonoma sells them. Yummmmmmmm!

I like Second Cup's varieties, with White Hot Chocolate, then Caramel then Regular Hot Chocolate. They have to be prepared with hot milk, NOT water. Whipped cream, vanilla powder, chocolate shavings and marshmallows. Plus, accompanied with some sort of hard cookie! :) YUM!

LOL @ "big ass 'mallow"! Awww, Swiss Miss brings back fond memories for me too!

In college, my roomie taught me to simmer milk and semi sweet & dark chocolate chips in a saucepan. It's a lot of stirring but ever since then I've been addicted. Mini marshmallows are a must. My SIL sneaks a shot of Bailey's into hers and mine =)

Looks super good. The way it's spilling over the mug. Marshmellows make the drink.

Yum! You had me at just the sight of the picture. I am addicted to hot chocolate...with whipped cream, of course.
My favorite is the belgian chocolate shavings hot chocolate from Dylan's Candy Bar.
I am DYING to try the hot chocolate frother at Williams-Sonoma, but my addiction hasn't reached the $99 level just yet. : )

My new fave is "abuelita" it is a spanish bar that you melt with milk...has a very slight touch of almond and cinnamon in it. YUM!

Love your blog!

Linda - you are so right about Abuelita! My (Mexican) mom used to make that for me when I was young...I think I was too young to appreciate the taste for some reason. I LOVE it now. The cinnamon and chocolate combo is fantastic!

Hi there, I'm new at blogging and can't find how I might be able to email you so am leaving a comment here even though it's off topic (apologies to everyone)
I'm hoping to get your permission to post one of the photos of your inlaws mbr-- the one that's painted "Paris Rain"?-- I have a little blog going tracking the progress of our house (mostly for family)and would like to post it as an inspiration photo. Pls let me know?

hmm I think I'll go find some hot chocolate now... (see, maybe not SO off topic ;) I'll put in a vote for Serendipity's frozen hot chocolate in NYC... it's been years since I've had it but it made quite an impression!

I don't even like chocolate and that picture alone made me crave cocoa. I had my favorite cinnamon cocoa last night.
