Cross that one off my "To Do" list. It only took me two weeks to settle on some paint colors. Although, being a cocky interior design student, I didn't buy any testers so I'm sure I'll be repainting a wall or two. The photos below are of the colors that were here when we moved in. "After" photos to come soon! Here are the colors that I've decided on...
(all colors courtesy of Benjamin Moore)
living room - Pale Oak
dining room - Silver Fox (below chair rail) Fernwood Green (above)
master bedroom - Feather Down

master bedroom - Feather Down
(yes, those are clothes on the floor...these photos clearly haven't been staged, it's real life)
master bathroom - Silver Streak (I like dark, "jewel-box" bathrooms)
office - Donald Kaufman white #67 (pictured with previous owners stuff) I can't wait to try a Donald Kaufman color! I've heard great things from instructors at my design school about how the color is luminescent, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I picked a crisp white.
Off to start painting!

Glad I could inspire an A in your rendering class.
Love your color selection. I have several of the Donald Kaufman books and love the way they use color.
Try also using high gloss and matte. The mix is subtle but the play of light is fresh. My kitchen is high gloss and I love it.
Great suggestion about the high gloss paint. I'm always afraid to try it on a wall because it shows so many flaws. With enough prep work it would look fab though. I may have to try it in my kitchen!
Love, love, love! And this love is just based on the paint chips. Can you tell I'm excited to see the final results?
I wish we had a bigger bathroom and a window in it so I can try out a darker color in there.
I like the bedroom color...looks luxerious.
I am so excited to see it all come together! Especially that office with the pink accents! :)
Great colors! I'm especially excited about the dark color in the bathroom! That's got my pulse racing!
I agree w/others! Can't wait to see Silver Streak in your master bath. Soo excited.
I'm also interested in seeing Feather Down on your MB walls.
My entire house has that same color for our tri, doors, ceilings and other woodwork (mantle, etc.)
It will be neat to see it as a main wall color.
Your MB bedding looks so comfy!
